Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  1. Very favorable. Communicated and listened well. Clearly and concisely answered all questions. Confidence in his diagnosis and approach to medical issues and concerns.

  2. The Doctor was very, very knowledgeable and provided a lot of data/statistics regarding cholesterol and taking statins.

  3. Dr Ferencik has been my cardiologist since early 2021. He is professional, courteous and personable, but is forthright in his opinion as to the appropriate treatment for my ongoing condition, when I seek possible amendments to such treatment. A case in point is that during this recent visit I sought a reduction in drug dosage, due to a minor side effect (increased yawning) however, after his outlining the distinct advantages of continuing the current dosage, I withdrew the request.

  4. Very good experience. I felt heard and my concerns were taken seriously and addressed in a timely manner.

  5. Dr. Ferencik is very knowlegeable and he is able to take complex information, identify what is important for the current conversation, and explain it in terms that I can understand. He is also thoughtful and careful with the complex care he provides to me.

  6. Dr Ferencik was very helpful, explaining an important medical issue in a way that made it easily understandable, without over simplifying. He also continued to be well informed regarding my range of medical conditions.
