About me

Dr. Laura Bliss is a pediatric neurologist who specializes in caring for children with cerebral palsy, headache, epilepsy, status epilepticus and other neurologic problems. Her research and clinical interests include exploring alternative epilepsy therapies, such as diet therapy and surgery, as well as examining the intersection between epilepsy and other complex medical problems. She chose this specialty because it gives her the opportunity to work closely with children and families as they face the challenges that come with pediatric epilepsy. Her patients teach and inspire her at every visit.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Bliss enjoys reading, hiking with friends, finding new restaurants with her husband, rock climbing, tennis, ballet and aerial yoga. Dr. Bliss is a lifelong dog lover but she has found space in her heart for her grumpy cat, Roo.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
