About me

Dr. Au specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology and has particular interests in minimally invasive surgery, cervical cancer screening and prevention, contraception, vaginal hysterectomy, patient safety, education, family-centered obstetric care, and breastfeeding medicine. She is an international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Mothers Milk Bank. She can’t imagine a more rewarding career and is thrilled to continue her practice at OHSU where she also completed her residency training. 

Dr. Au grew up in San Francisco, but has also spent time in the Midwest and on the East Coast. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, interior design, and exploring Portland with her husband and daughters. She is a former competitive volleyball player and enjoys cheering for the Portland Timbers and the San Francisco Giants.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

  1. I have never had such a poor interaction with a doctor. She seemed uninterested, impatient, and uncaring. She acted like she didn't want to be there and seemed annoyed by my questions and concerns. I would've ended the visit early, but I'd waited 3 months just to get this appointment. I've never had such a negative experience with a Dr before but I will not be coming back to her. I don't feel comfortable with her consultation so I'll have to start over again with someone else.

  9. The nurse was very sweet even brought my purse to me when I forgot it in the lobby. The providers were very considerate calming my anxiety with ease and making the visit pleasant without pain. Made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Explained every detail thoroughly.

  27. I said this to her during exam, too, I think Dr Au is the only doc I've seen in the last 20 years that I haven't had a traumatic experience with. I trust her implicitly.
