About me

Dr. John Davis grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He earned his medical degree from UCLA and completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Washington. Dr. Davis then went on to complete a pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at OHSU Casey Eye Institute.

After fellowship, Dr. Davis joined the faculty at Casey Eye Institute and provides comprehensive eye care to children from birth through teenage years including the diagnosis and treatment of eye misalignment, refractive error or other acquired or inherited eye diseases. He also provides diagnosis and surgical care for adults with double vision and eye misalignment. Dr. Davis offers full treatment options including in-office therapy and surgical correction for these conditions. As a parent, he knows the importance of creating a safe, caring environment for his pediatric patients and their families.

In his free time, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time exploring the natural beauty in Central Oregon. He loves hiking, kayaking, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
