About me

I am a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist. I care for adults with a wide range of cancer and blood-related conditions, with a focus on cancer screening, early detection and expanding access to advanced treatments such as immunotherapy and targeted therapies

I am passionate about providing these treatments for patients in rural communities and serve as medical director of medical oncology at the CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative in Astoria.

My approach to care is centered on building strong, trusting relationships with my patients. I believe it’s important that you feel comfortable, informed and supported throughout your care. I take time to listen to your concerns, explain your diagnosis and treatment options clearly and work with you to create a plan that aligns with your goals.

One of the things I value most about practicing with OHSU is the ability to bring leading-edge research, technology and clinical trials directly to patients in a smaller community setting. This means you can receive personalized, high-quality cancer care close to home while still benefiting from the expertise of a major academic medical center.

I have been practicing medicine for more than 20 years and have contributed to cancer research through numerous publications.

I moved to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family and am grateful to serve patients in this community. It is a privilege to support you through your care with compassion, respect and dedication.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling around the world, listening to music, biking and cooking for a diverse appetite.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
