About me

Dr. Hancey currently serves as the director of the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Clinic at OHSU. His special interests are in anxiety disorder, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He earned his medical degree in 1986 from OHSU, which is also where he completed his psychiatry residency.

  3. I've been a patient of Dr Hancey for over 30 years. I'm so sorry to see that he's retiring. But I wish him well. I believe a body of knowledge will be lost when he retires. He has taught many others and I hope they learned from him that it's not just medications and follow up but is his institutional knowledge and patient care. He is the first to spot a bad generic. He will fight for you to get what you need and will keep at it until an issue is resolved. That is the part that you can't teach. But I hope he will enjoy a new way of life in his retirement.
