About me

Dr. Ashraf received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed ophthalmology residency and a two year American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco before moving to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. He specializes in treating disorders of the eyelids, the region surrounding the eye (orbit), and the tear drainage (lacrimal) system. He has a special interest in improving the technological interface between patients and their doctors to improve care and ease of interaction.

Outside of work, Dr. Ashraf enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife and dog.

  3. I appreciated both Dr. Ashraf's expertise and cheerful and supportive personality. He was careful to explain what would happen, how it would happen, and usually why it would happen! Also, I never felt like I was on a timer. That his time with me was regulated by how many people who could see a day. And I have to say that recently I had a family member have the same procedure done in a different facility with a different doctor and comparing our two experiences, mine was smooth and comfortable. Hers was harsh and honestly scary. So OHSU for the win!
