About me
Chris Fox is a nurse practitioner specializing in HIV care and prevention. He is committed to providing compassionate, stigma-free, patient-centered care based upon the latest evidence.
At the OHSU Internal Medicine Clinic, Fox delivers HIV primary care, consults on HIV management, and leads the OHSU Tele-PrEP Program. He also treats hepatitis C across Oregon via telemedicine with PATHS (Peer Assisted Telemedicine for Hepatitis C and Syphilis).
An active educator, Fox trains healthcare students at OHSU. He frequently presents on HIV treatment and prevention at OHSU, regionally through the Oregon AIDS Education & Training Center, and at national conferences. He was previously faculty in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP Program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Nursing.
He trained at UCSF and San Francisco General Hospital’s Ward 86, the world’s first HIV outpatient clinic. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, he worked with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Fox has an undergraduate degree in English and previously worked in journalism and the book publishing industry.
Outside of work, Fox enjoys reading novels, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
