About me

Dr. Catherine Kent is a pediatrician treating all conditions in general pediatrics, including medical management of depression, anxiety and ADHD.

Dr. Kent grew up in Portland, and after graduating from Grant High School, attended Tufts University in Boston. At Tufts, she played soccer and double-majored in Community Health and American Studies. After college, she spent the summer as a camp counselor for children and teens with serious illnesses. This experience and her community health background solidified her interest in pediatrics, and from there, she began the long road to becoming a pediatrician. She completed her training at OHSU, then worked for six years at Kaiser Permanente, and is thrilled to be returning to the wonderful pediatrics team here at OHSU.

Dr. Kent feels fortunate to be a general pediatrician because she truly enjoys supporting children and families through all stages of childhood and adolescence. As the mother of three, she can relate to the joys and struggles of parenthood and brings this perspective to her daily practice.

When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, coaching her daughter’s soccer team, baking, running and playing futsal.

Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
