About me

Dr. Tubay loves her job as a family physician because it allows her to celebrate the diversity and resilience of the human spirit. She is a problem-solver who works with her patients to build creative, practical solutions that respect their unique circumstances. She believes that communication is the key to quality healthcare, and is constantly amazed at what can be accomplished by simply listening.

Since completing her training, Dr. Tubay has cared for patients in rural, urban, military, academic, and underserved settings. Her research has examined the effects of wellness interventions on patients and doctors, and she has been recognized for her teaching and clinical skills. She has extensive experience in obstetrics and women's health, but most enjoys providing full-spectrum care to families and individuals of all ages, shapes, sizes, and genders.

Born and raised in rural Colorado, Dr. Tubay is always up for an adventure. She recently spent several years in England, where she managed to walk, paddle, and zip-line through much of Europe with her husband and two children in tow. An enthusiastic (if unskilled) athlete, she plays every kind of sport--from football & roller derby to triathlon & yoga--but she can be easily convinced to sit still for a good meal or a great book. She's always had a special affection for trees, and is thrilled to be settling permanently in beautiful Portland.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
