About me
Amanda Dieu, O.D., was born and raised in Southern California. She acquired her B.S degree in Biology at the University of California, Irvine. She found a special interest the eyes and health care, and decided to pursue a career in optometry. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley where she graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa honors. She has received multiple honors and scholarships, including the Alcon Case Study Award, The Carol Moore Contact Lens Scholarship, Jimmy and Lillian Low Optometry Scholarship, and William J Burlington Memorial Scholarship. She completed challenging externships at the Walter Reed National Military Center and Veterans Affairs medical facilities in Portland and Los Angeles, solidifying her skills in medical treatments and management of ocular diseases.
As Dr. Dieu developed a passion for specialty contact lens fittings during her fourth year in optometry school, she moved on to complete a fellowship in medical contact lenses with the OHSU Casey Eye Institute. Her expertise is managing very complex corneal and anterior segment cases with specialty rigid and soft gas permeable lenses such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, pediatric and adult aphakia, trauma, and severe dry eyes. She also enjoys managing myopia control with orthokeratology lenses, multifocal contact lenses, and atropine eye drops.
Dr. Dieu is passionate about philanthropy work with goals to help the local community and underserved populations in the world. She has participated in several mission trips to provide vision care to communities in Nicaragua and Jamaica.
Besides providing vision care, Dr. Dieu enjoys exploring the outdoors, cooking, and spending time with her family and dog.

Many years and always a very good experience
Dr. Dieu recognized me! I know she can refer to my picture and notes, but she made me feel very special. That's not easy for an annual visit. During our appointment, she gave me her complete attention. She answered my questions thoughtfully and I trust her more each year. She is an exceptional clinician.
Everything was on time, I've had everything explained and that this should help my condition.
I look forward to my appointments with Dr. Dieu every year! She is always very clear about what is needed and does an excellent job answering my questions. She is extremely kind and treats her patients with care and respect.
She was just ready for the end of the day. Made me try figure out how to work the eye glass thing. She got frustrated very easily because I didn't understand how to use her tool. I found out that day the weighted contacts don't work because I have too much damage in my eye an the weight of the contact falls in my scar in my eye.
She was alright
