About me
Dr. Elizabeth Hays is an internal medicine and geriatrics provider in the OHSU Perioperative Medicine Clinic. As a full time perioperative outpatient physician, she provides comprehensive assessment for the full range of adult patients and surgeries performed at OHSU. Dr. Hays applies her geriatrics knowledge to the assessment and management of geriatric conditions such as frailty and dementia in the perioperative period, collaborating with geriatricians across OHSU to provide seamless care. She has a particular interest in perioperative advance care planning conversations and has spearheaded a program to standardize the documentation of patients’ preferences in the perioperative visit.
Dr. Hays spent 17 years as a primary care provider in a private practice in Portland, OR before completing a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the Portland VA Medical Center in 2019. She is married with two children.
