About me
I’m a family physician passionate about caring for your whole family. I chose family medicine because it allows me to build lasting relationships with my patients and support them throughout their lives. I especially enjoy caring for children, supporting women’s health (including pregnancy care), managing chronic conditions and providing care for adults and children in the hospital when needed.
I’m also deeply committed to addressing the social factors affecting health in my community and ensuring everyone has access to high-quality care. I have a special connection with the Latinx community and enjoy working closely with my Spanish-speaking patients. Before attending medical school, I learned to speak Spanish while living in the Napo Province of Ecuador.
When I’m not caring for patients, I love staying active. I spend a lot of time mountain biking and trail running with my wife and our energetic 4-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer. My family and I love going on camping trips and being outdoors as much as possible. I’m also a big basketball fan and enjoy cheering on the Butler Bulldogs and the Indiana Pacers!

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
