Why aren't there any ratings?

There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one of three reasons:

  1. They do not see patients.

About me

I'm an internist and infectious disease specialist. I practice a blend of general hospital medicine and inpatient infectious disease consultation. Some of the conditions I see most often include diabetic foot infections, HIV and heart failure.

I enjoy being the primary doctor for a hospitalized patient because it means I get to see the whole picture, coordinate care across specialties and make sure nothing gets missed. 

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and did all of my early training there before heading to New York for my infectious disease fellowship, partly for the training and partly to explore a completely different area of the country. But the pull of the West Coast was strong, and when the chance came to be closer to family and continue doing the work I love, I made my way to Oregon.

Outside of the hospital, I'm most at home in the water. I swam competitively and played water polo for years, and I still surf and dive whenever I can. And like any good Oregonian, I've come to love hiking as well.

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
