Why aren't there any ratings?

There is no publicly available rating for this care provider for one of three reasons:

  1. They do not see patients.
  2. They see patients but have not yet received the minimum number of patient experience reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is statistically reliable and an accurate reflection of patient experience.
  3. They see patients but do not see enough patients to collect a statistically-reliable patient experience rating.

About me

Shirin Zargar is a speech therapist who specializes in adolescent brain injury, as well as infant-toddler feeding and swallowing. You can find her in outpatient, inpatient or in the radiology room performing modified barium swallow studies. Her WA, CA, and OR license allow her to see patients virtually if they are in rural areas and not able to get necessary support or resources. Outside of Doernbecher's she is adjunct faculty at Portland State University, where she teaches Adult Language Disorders and the impact of cognitive deficits in language. 

When she is not working you can find her in the mountains, camping, working on her traveling blog or just hanging in her backyard with her dog. She is also highly involved in the Iranian community of Portland and loves bringing the middle eastern community together.

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
