About me
Sharen Azar is a Portland native who graduated from the University of Portland with a B.S. in Biology and Psychology. She then earned her medical degree at OHSU before moving to Madison, Wisconsin for internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin. After graduating, she completed her chief residency at the University of Wisconsin with a focus in primary care and ambulatory curriculum development before moving back to Portland. Her interests include caring for vulnerable patient populations, with a particular focus on caring for men and women reentering their communities post-incarceration. She loves caring for patients in the clinic setting and enjoys sharing this passion with medical students and residents. Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
