About me

I work as an academic hospitalist here at Oregon Health & Science University, and enjoy teaching students, residents, fellows and peers. My obsessions with simulation as an educational method and point-of-care ultrasound for both clinical and educational purposes started during internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.  I have been able to incorporate these into my clinical, educational & service roles since returning to my medical school alma mater OHSU in 2012.

In my role as the Medical Director of OHSU Simulation I am able to work with learners, staff and faculty of all kinds.  Former educational roles include Director of OHSU Point of Care Ultrasound, Founding General Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship Director, and Internal Medicine Core Clerkship Director.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
