About me

Dr. Ramanan was born and raised in Southern India where she went to medical school.  She completed internal medicine residency and general infectious diseases fellowship in New York after which she moved to the mid-west and completed two additional fellowships in transplant infectious diseases and clinical microbiology. She then worked as transplant infectious diseases faculty at University of Colorado for 3 years prior to accepting a faculty position at OHSU in 2022. Her clinical interests include caring for infections in the immunocompromised hosts, in particular, among patients with hematological malignancies and those who receive solid organ and stem cell transplantation. She is also passionate about medical education. During her free time, she loves chilling at home with her husband, three boys and two dogs, painting, reading, traveling to new parts of the world and exploring various cultures.
