About me

Dr. Yamaguchi is committed to a patient-centered and holistic approach to physical rehabilitation that focuses on integrating manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and health promotion and health behavior change to optimize movement and enhance physical well-being.

Outside of patient care at OHSU, Dr. Yamaguchi is pursuing her Ph.D. in Community Health at OHSU and PSU's joint School of Public Health and has research interests in understanding the role of the culture of medicine on health justice. She is also associated faculty in the School of Physical Therapy at Pacific Northwest University in Yakima, WA, where she teaches health equity, ethics, and oncology/lymphedema rehabilitation topics.

Dr. Yamaguchi spends her free time exercising, cooking and baking, reading, and tolerating at her husband’s bad jokes. She is learning to sail and often daydreams about international travel, spending more time in nature, and living off the grid.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
