Monica Holland began her career working with pediatric oncology patients as well as those with acute and chronic medical concerns. Over the course of several years and a few geographic changes, her nursing practice expanded to include PICU, postpartum/newborn/lactation education and home care as well as ambulatory pediatric specialty, general pediatrics.
Ultimately, Monica chose to pursue a long-time interest in hospice, where she focused on caring for children and adults at end-of-life. In her work with the Bridges Pediatric Palliative Care Program at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, she is able work towards educating and providing support to our community hospice partners in their care of pediatric patients at home throughout Oregon and SW Washington. This is one of Monica’s favorite focus areas in her role with the Bridges Team.
