About me

Dr. Michelle Beam is resident in internal medicine. She believes that a holistic, whole-person approach to medicine is vital to people’s health, well-being, and healing. Dr. Beam loves developing and maintaining long-term relationships with her primary care patients. It is in these relationships where she has witnessed the most inspiring healing and experiences the most joy in medicine.

In addition to clinical medicine, she is a public health researcher who has her focused on investigating community-based approaches to neglected infectious diseases of poverty, specifically neurocysticercosis—a brain parasite that causes preventable epilepsy around the world.

Dr. Beam was born and raised in Oregon. She loves to trail run, road bike, watercolor, and host potlucks.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
