Why aren't there any ratings?

About me

I am a pediatric oncologist who cares for pediatric patients with solid tumors. I have a special interest in patients with neuroblastoma and patients with high-risk or relapsed/refractory disease. My clinical research has focused on genetic changes associated with relapsed/refractory disease.

I was drawn to pediatric oncology by the remarkable resiliency of children, the complexity of the field and the power of multidisciplinary care. It is a profound privilege to walk alongside patients and their families through such a difficult season in their lives. 

I prioritize comprehensive conversations with patients and their family regarding diagnosis and treatment. I also value shared clinical decision-making throughout the healing journey.

I grew up in rural Kansas, completed my pediatrics residency at the University of South Carolina / Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, and completed my pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship (along with specialized training in solid tumors and an ongoing Master of Science in Clinical Investigation) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy running and hiking with my dog, or curling up on the couch with my cat and a good book.

  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
