I am a family medicine and sports medicine doctor who enjoys caring for patients of all ages and activity levels. In addition to the common family medicine areas of focus (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma), I have a particular interest in:

• Musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries
• Endurance athletes
• Use of diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound

I believe movement is an important part of both preventing and treating disease. I enjoy helping patients find realistic and sustainable ways to incorporate physical activity into their lives, whether they are competitive athletes, recreational runners or simply looking to become healthier and more active. 

My patient care approach emphasizes prevention, education and partnering with patients to develop treatment plans that support their individual goals and allow them to continue doing the activities that matter to them.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy running, cycling, hiking, traveling and exploring the Pacific Northwest. I especially enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and our two dogs, Barli and Rookie, and getting to know the communities and neighborhoods that make Portland home. We also enjoy trying new recipes and local coffee shops.
