I'm a physician associate specializing in colon and rectal surgery. My work centers on caring for patients facing colon and rectal cancer, and I also see patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

I provide perioperative care, meaning I'm with my patients through every stage of their colon or rectal cancer surgery, before, during, and after their procedure.

I take time to answer questions, explain what to expect, and help patients feel as prepared and confident as possible heading into a cancer surgery.

I work closely with the surgical team to monitor recovery, manage pain, and stay on top of anything that comes up during a patient's healing process.

I help support the recovery process, watch closely for any complications, and make sure patients and their families understand what comes next, whether that's additional cancer treatment, follow-up appointments, or getting back to everyday life.

I'm committed to providing top-quality, individualized care to every patient I work with. I want each person to feel truly seen and supported, not just as a patient, but as an individual going through one of the harder chapters of their life.

Before coming to OHSU, I worked in the ICU, trauma, and general surgery. That background shaped how I care for patients today. It taught me how to move quickly, stay calm under pressure, and anticipate what a patient might need next, skills I rely on often when caring for colon and rectal cancer patients before and after surgery.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, traveling and cooking with my wife.
