About me

Claire Kaufman, MD, completed her radiology residency at Yale New-Haven Hospital where during her final year she served as chief resident. After residency, she moved across the country to San Diego to compete a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of California San Diego.  Dr. Kaufman has a passion for education.  She performs a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures including vascular and non-vascular interventions. Her specific clinical and research interests include vascular malformations, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, prostate interventions, women’s interventions, and portal hypertension. She has published numerous articles and book chapters in addition to serving on national committees.  When not at work Dr. Kaufman is an avid runner and enjoys spending time outdoors exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family and dogs.
