About me
Christie specializes in nutrition issues related to all areas of women's health. She has advanced training in the area of diabetes, becoming certified as a diabetes educator in 2004. Christie enjoys working in this field of health promotion as it is rewarding to help people achieve their goal whether it's having a healthy pregnancy outcome, lowering their cholesterol or managing their diabetes better. Christie feels passionately that good health is a gift not to be taken for granted but many women put themselves on the back burner to take care of everyone else. While she can't walk the path with them, she can help to show them the road to a more balanced life.
In her free time, Christie enjoys being active with her family- husband, son, and dog. She prefers activities in the outdoors such as running, biking, walking, hiking, skiing and tennis. When she's relaxing, she enjoys reading, knitting, watching sports and the occasional movie.

Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
