Dr. Brenna Yard specializes in inpatient pediatric and newborn care. At Hillsboro Medical Center she cares for babies and children who need to stay in the hospital because they are premature, sick or injured. She also works in the NICU at OHSU, where she focuses on supporting patients and families as they transition from hospital to home.
Dr. Yard understands how stressful it can be when your child is in the hospital. She is committed to caring for the whole family, making sure parents and caregivers feel informed, supported, and heard every step of the way.
While she has lived in many places, the Pacific Northwest is home. Dr. Yard lives here with her husband and their three children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the area and trying various new craft projects.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
