About me

I am a pediatric neurologist and epilepsy specialist who cares for children with seizures and complex neurologic conditions

I specialize in treating difficult-to-control epilepsy, including infantile spasms and genetic and developmental epilepsy syndromes.

I have expertise in advanced diagnostic testing, including EEG and complimentary neuroimaging. I guide families through a full range of treatment options, including newer medications, dietary therapies and epilepsy surgery when appropriate.

I partner closely with families to understand each child’s unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans focused on improving seizure control, neurological development and overall quality of life.

I value clear communication and strive to make complex medical information understandable, so families feel confident and supported in every decision. I find it especially meaningful to build long-term relationships with families and to see children grow and thrive over time.

I am committed to making complex medical information clear and accessible, so families feel informed and confident in their care decisions. I take a team-based approach centered on the family and collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, therapists and other specialists to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring diverse cuisines, hiking to waterfalls and playing chess.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
