About me
April Henderson specializes in spine and general orthopedic injuries. After she graduated from Asbury University in Kentucky, she worked as a strength and conditioning specialist and trained members of the NFL, NBA, MLB, and members of the US Olympic bobsled team before completing her doctorate of physical therapy. Biomechanics and kinesiology are her main areas of interest as she completed internships in Chicago, IL and Denver, CO for advanced trunk and spine biomechanics, shoulder, hip, and hand and foot function.
Outside of work, April enjoys being in the great outdoors. This includes rock climbing, stand up paddle boarding, swimming and hiking. A college athlete, she played varsity basketball and tennis at Asbury University, where her interest in physical therapy was first kindled after a knee injury. Her goals in life include empowering people to be proactive in their health and to have fun staying active.

Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
