About me

I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, or, a dental specialist who performs surgery on the head, neck or facial skeleton. I care for patients of all ages, including children, adults and older adults.

My clinical expertise includes:

  • Oral and maxillofacial surgery
  • Head and neck surgery
  • Microvascular reconstructive surgery
  • Head and neck oncology

I treat a wide range of conditions, from dentoalveolar disease to complex head and neck cancers. Following cancer treatment, I offer my patients:

  • Dental extractions
  • Anesthesia
  • Dental implants
  • Bone and soft tissue grafting
  • Jaw alignment surgery
  • Trauma care
  • Advanced reconstructive surgery

When reconstruction is needed, I use specialized techniques to help restore both function and appearance.

My approach to care is centered on clear communication and shared decision-making. I take time to help you understand your diagnosis and treatment options, and I work with you to develop a plan that not only addresses your medical needs but also aligns with your personal goals and priorities.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as Section Chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Medical Director of the Legacy Good Samaritan Oral and Head and Neck Cancer Program and an Assistant Professor at the OHSU School of Dentistry.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
