About me

Dr. Ghias grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs in a South Indian family of 5 and pursued a career path in military medicine. This took her to Hawaii, where she met her husband and was able to do more extensive traveling. She enjoys hiking, climbing, and trail running and is an avid reader and baker/cook in her free time. Her research interests include quality improvement for patients with head and neck cancer, especially for those that face difficulties in accessing care or those who hail from under-resourced areas. She hopes to pursue further work in austere surgical environments and in building global health networks within the head and neck cancer realm.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
