About me
Scott was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Deerfield, Illinois. He obtained a B.S. in Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015. Following this, he took two gap years, working initially as a medical scribe in Chicago and then at a small start-up called Flare Health, a physician referral app. In 2018 he enrolled at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. In addition to his academic schedule, he took a role as the school’s Social Chair, Running Club President, and was actively involved in the IR interest group and SIR Reserves. He completed his surgical internship at Virginia Mason in Seattle before joining Dotter this year. In his free time, he enjoys road and trail running, cycling, and swimming. He also loves cooking, eating, and coffee (which he usually roasts and brews himself). When he’s not in Portland, he’ll be spending his weekends with his partner who is an OBGYN resident at Madigan Army Medical Center, and their dog Elvis.
Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
