About me
Dr. Neel Patel joined the faculty in 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the Body Imaging section of the Department of Radiology at OHSU. As a physician, Dr. Patel interprets all imaging modalities used in body imaging including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and radiography and performs image guided biopsies and aspirations. He is honored to work alongside the rest of the radiology department and all of the providers at OHSU to provide high quality and compassionate care to every patient.
Outside of his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Patel is interested in improving medical education and creating interactive, learner-focused education materials. He is especially interested in the potential of simulation education in diagnostic radiology.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys living in Portland, hiking and biking in the Pacific Northwest, and learning about old growth forest ecology.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
