About me

“I love my job; as an anesthesiologist, my areas of practice are regional anesthesia, OB anesthesia and generalist anesthesia.  I am extremely interested in learning and teaching via simulation and I have been on the APOM simulation faculty since I began at OHSU as a staff anesthesiologist in 2005.  Along with the rest of the simulation team, I run critical event simulation sessions for all learning levels: from medical students to residents to practicing anesthesiologists.  I am also extremely interested in the areas of quality and safety, including examining how we make errors in order to prevent them in the future.  I currently serve as APOM’s Chief of Quality and Safety; in this role, I have the opportunity to contribute to increasing the quality of the care received by our patients.”

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
