About me
Cory started his anesthesia career out on the East coast - Baltimore, MD to be precise where he learned a multitude of techniques to provide safe and quality anesthesia care. His view in patient care is simple: treat all your patients how you would like your wife, partner, uncle, and best friend – anyone you care about - to be cared for with the utmost respect throughout the perioperative process. He is a strong proponent of pre-emptive analgesia, regional anesthesia and multimodal pain therapy; basically any method that will make your surgical experience as comfortable as possible. His wife and he made their way out to Portland to be closer to family as well as have easier access to the outdoors. Here, Cory rides his bike every day to OHSU and believes in limiting his carbon foot print as best he can. From being a strict recycler and composter at home to always bringing his travel coffee mug on every adventure, you will rarely see anyone more dedicated to the environment. Additionally, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya so you may hear him speaking and teaching his patients some Kiswahili from time to time.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
