About me

Shortly after graduating from high school, Charlie was awarded an Air Force ROTC scholarship that paid for his BSN degree and he found a home in the active duty military for the next 21 years.  After working as a ward nurse, ICU nurse, and OR nurse, the USAF then sent him out to get his nurse anesthesia degree at Texas Wesleyan University.  Upon retiring from active duty military service in 2008, Charlie was lucky enough to find a perfect fit at OHSU Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine, and truly enjoys coming in to be part of a great anesthesia team every day.

In his spare time, Charlie walks the family dog all over the Southwest hills, grows vegetables & flowers in the garden, and explores all that Portland has to offer with his wife Amy.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
