About me

Dr. Luce grew up in rural Southern Oregon and attended Oregon State University for his undergraduate degree. He took a break for several years before starting medical school, having many different jobs including as a wildland firefighter for the National Park Service. His journey then brought him here to Portland where he attended OHSU for medical school. He then moved with his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico for residency, before returning to OHSU for fellowship training in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine. He is excited to be working both as a general anesthesiologist and also with the Regional Anesthesia Division. When away from the hospital, Dr. Luce enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest, running, hiking and rock climbing.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
