About me

Dr. Beckett joined the diagnostic radiology staff in 2011, after completing her residency and musculoskeletal fellowship at OHSU. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time at OHSU and appreciates the academically rigorous, yet collegial and supportive environment of the diagnostic radiology department. Her professional interests include imaging of joint derangement, bone and soft tissue tumors, inflammatory arthropathies, and pediatric bone and joint disorders. Dr. Beckett especially values the opportunity to teach residents and fellows, both at the workstation and in educational conferences. Dr. Beckett spent her formative years in a tiny farming village in the extreme southeast corner of Nebraska. She attended a small liberal arts college in southern Iowa, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, after which she worked for 2 years before matriculating into the University of Iowa Medical School. Here she quickly realized her affinity for diagnostic imaging and so chose a career in diagnostic radiology. Dr. Beckett has family in the Portland area and had long been in love with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She was fortunate to secure a residency position at OHSU and has since put down firm roots in this amazing city. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Beckett’s energy is devoted to her twin boys and her husband, Jeff. When time allows she also loves good food, hiking in the Columbia River Gorge, reading, and spending time with friends.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
