About me
I am a surgeon who treats common problems like hernias and gallbladder disease. I also help care for patients after surgery or after they’ve been in the hospital for serious injuries.
My goal is to give safe, evidence-based care that puts patients first. I believe in working together to make the best decisions for your health and recovery.
I went to medical school and completed my surgery training at the University of Cincinnati. After that, I served for four years in the U.S. Navy, including a deployment to Afghanistan with the Marine Corps. In 2023, I moved to Portland and finished a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at OHSU before joining the surgical team in 2024.

Insurance
Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.
