Ahmed Gabr, MD, MSc, initially joined OHSU in 2019 as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Dotter Interventional Institute. He completed a Body Imaging and Interventions fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. He originally grew up in Egypt, where he did his radiology residency, two years of Body Imaging and Interventions fellowship and a Master’s degree in Radiologic Sciences. Dr. Gabr is an active member of the LI-RADS Treatment Response working group, part of the American College of Radiology, dedicated to advancing imaging guidelines for liver tumors. He has a wide range of scientific interests including liver imaging, translational research in interventional oncology, and the integration of intuitive technology and social media into radiology practice and education. He also serves on the RG TEAM editorial board of the esteemed RadioGraphics journal. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, amateur photography and tinkering with high-tech gadgets.
