What's a virtual video visit?

Virtual visits offer a safe, convenient way to connect with an OHSU provider. You can meet with your provider through a video chat and some clinics offer telephone visits without video.  Virtual visits are covered by most insurance plans.  See our FAQ to learn more.

Already have a visit scheduled?

Video visits use MyChart, OHSU’s secure online patient portal. Here’s what to do next:

  1. Log into MyChart 15 minutes before your appointment.
  2. Click “Check in” to read and accept forms.
  3. Click “Join” — your provider will join you shortly.

See detailed instructions, including how to sign up for MyChart, on our virtual video visit prep page.

Virtual urgent care

If you need to see an urgent care provider, we can diagnose and treat many non-emergency medical conditions over video. We can even send prescriptions to your nearby pharmacy. We are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Primary care

For new and current patients!  Our family medicine, general internal medicine, and general pediatrics clinics are ready for video visits. Call your provider's office and ask to schedule a video or telephone visit. You can also schedule an in-person visit.  Our clinics use enhanced health and cleaning measures to keep you safe. We also offer “immediate care on demand” as video, in-person, and telephone.
