The Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center is located at Oregon Health & Science University, the only academic health center in the region. Our center is the only clinic in the Pacific Northwest that cares for children and adults living with diabetes in one location. Our teams' expertise and support help patients in their diabetes care and management.

We provide diabetes care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to adults. We create customized treatment plans that take into account how to best manage diabetes for each individual patient with a multidisciplinary approach.

New adult diabetes referrals are on pause

OHSU’s adult diabetes program is closed for now to new patient referrals.

If you are a provider: You can still refer patients for medically urgent or pediatric diabetes care.

You can request an eConsult with an OHSU specialist for these conditions:

  • Non-diabetic hypoglycemia
  • Prediabetes
  • Type 1 diabetes mellitus
  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus
  • Other or unspecified diabetes mellitus 

If you are already an OHSU adult diabetes patient: You will still get care.
