Join us for a viewing of the US National Archives program, On Juneteenth. In it, "Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Annette Gordon-Reed tells the sweeping story of Juneteenth’s integral importance to American history and provides a historian’s view of the country’s long road to Juneteenth, recounting both its origins in Texas and the enormous hardships that African-Americans have endured in the century since, from Reconstruction through Jim Crow and beyond."

Following the viewing we will have a period of discussion, during which attendees can share reflections, and/or offer suggestions for further education on the topic or service opportunities that participants can engage with on the Juneteenth holiday (Monday, June 19).
