Dr. Roya Sohaey is a professor within the department of Diagnostic Radiology with a joint appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joined the OHSU faculty in March of 2000. Her specialty is women's imaging, which includes being director of ultrasound with sub-specialization in obstetric and gynecologic imaging. She also functions as part of a multidisciplinary breast team at OHSU and staffs the breast center, interpreting mammography and breast ultrasound.

Within obstetric and gynecologic imaging, Dr. Sohaey staffs perinatal ultrasound in conjunction with the perinatology team at OHSU. In addition, she is an imaging specialist for the OHSU Fetal Care Program. She has a specific interest in complex fetal anomalies, 3D ultrasound imaging of the fetus and female pelvic procedures (hysterography and sonohysterography).

Dr. Sohaey has co-authored six textbooks. Most recently, in 2011, she co-authored the second edition of a widely used textbook, Diagnostic Imaging: Obstetrics, with Dr. Oh (also in women's imaging at OHSU). Dr. Sohaey and Dr. Oh are co-directors of the women's imaging fellowship, which offers subspecialty post graduate training in breast, obstetric, and gynecologic imaging.
