Biography

Joanna Cummings is an instructor and associate dietetic internship director in the Graduate Programs in Human Nutrition at OHSU. She earned her master’s degree in Human Nutrition from OHSU. She is an advanced practice registered dietitian (RD-AP) and board-certified clinical nutrition support clinician (CNSC). She also holds board certification as a specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD).

Previously, Joanna directed the OHSU-Lao Nutrition Education and Research Partnership, collaborating with the Lao Ministry of Health to provide clinical nutrition education and research to build clinical nutrition capacity in the low-resource country of Lao PDR. She serves on the Board of Editors for EatRightPrep and the Board of Directors for Global Health Promise, a nonprofit supporting female sex workers and their children in low-income countries. Joanna is also a nutrition focused physical exam trainer for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
