Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship
The Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship is a fully ACGME accredited one-year fellowship. Successful completion of this fellowship qualifies graduates to be examined for the added qualification in Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. The fellowship is based primarily at the Portland VA hospital where there are rotations in Opioid Treatment, Buprenorphine Program, Concurrent Disorders, Complex Smoking Cessation, Marital and Family Therapy, Liver and HIV clinic and a month long rotation on Consultation/Liaison. The VA experience is supplemented with experience in the Providence Hospital System with experience in Adolescent Addiction and at Hazelden-Springbrook for experience with Professionals with Addictive disease. OHSU and the VA have a variety of Addiction research settings including the Methamphetamine Research Center [MARC], The One Sky Center and a site of NIDA's Clinical Trials Network. The Fellowship is directed by Dr. Liz Tiffany.
