NEW APPLICATION DATES

  1. ERAS Opens to Applicants: July 1, 2026
  2. ERAS Opens to Programs: July 15, 2026
  3. Interviewing Opens: July 16, 2026 and continues to October 7, 2026
  4. Match Open: August 5, 2026
  5. Ranking Begins: September 2, 2026
  6. Quota Change & Withdrawal Deadline: September 23, 2026
  7. Rank Order List Deadline:  October 7, 2026
  8. Match Day: October 21, 2026

Our faculty will conduct interviews later in the interview season, and our window will be September 1 – 30. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Forensic Psychiatry Fellowships will now begin utilizing ERAS and the Match for the upcoming interview cycle. As such, we will be accepting applications through ERAS going forward. You can view the announcement from AAPL here.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2025 UPCOMING RECRUITMENT CYCLE

  • July 2 - Applicants can begin applying to fellowships via ERAS
  • July 16 - Programs can begin reviewing applications and interview applicants
  • August 6 - Ranking opens in NRMP
  • October 8 - Rank Order List Certification Deadline
  • October 22 - Match Day

Application Materials:

  • CV
  • Personal Statement
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE) or Dean's Letter from your medical school
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation (one from program director)
  • Board Scores (full transcript)
  • Two writing samples
    • At least one should be a clinical encounter or a forensic evaluation and the other can be other written product that is academic, an opinion piece for a newspaper, or other psychiatry-related product
    • Samples should either be uploaded directly to ERAS application or emailed to Trey Branch (brancht@ohsu.edu)

Requirements

  • Applicant must be legally able to work in the U.S., or eligible to obtain work authorization.
  • Trainees must complete an ACGME accredited residency.
