Biography

Whitney Elg-Salsman is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in the Rheumatology department. She is originally from Anchorage, AK and received her medical degree from Touro University in Henderson, NV. Whitney completed internal medicine residency locally at Oregon Health & Science University and recently completed her rheumatology fellowship and master's degree in clinical research at the Medical University of South Carolina. Whitney's main research interest is investigating the pathogenesis and clinical risk factors for development of rheumatic adverse events from cancer immune checkpoint inhibitors. Her clinical interests also include Lupus and Systemic Sclerosis. In her spare time Whitney enjoys spending time with her two young sons and new French Bulldog puppy, Cricket. She also likes exploring the pacific northwest coast, hiking and reading.
