Michael Pierce, PA-C (he/him)
- Instructor of Neurological Surgery, School of Medicine
Biography
I’m a physician associate in the Department of Neurological Surgery at OHSU. I specialize in caring for adults with issues such as:
- Pituitary tumors
- Skull base tumors
- Brain tumors
- Aneurysms
I also see patients with pituitary conditions, helping manage hormone imbalances through medication, lifestyle changes or surgery.
My journey into neurosurgery began after college, when I worked as a medical assistant in a hospital neurosurgery department and quickly fell in love with the field. I went on to earn my master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
After training and working on inpatient neurology and neurosurgery units, I eventually moved to Portland to focus on outpatient neurosurgery and neuroendocrinology here at OHSU.
