Biography
Maureen K. Baldwin, M.D., M.P.H. is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed medical school and residency at OHSU (2007, 2011), and a fellowship in family planning at OHSU (2013). She completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health at OHSU in the OHSU/PSU dual degree program with medical school (2007). Following her fellowship, she joined the OHSU Ob/Gyn Department as academic faculty. She now co-directs the Interdisciplinary Hematology-Gynecology Adolescent Clinic, “Spots, Dots, and Clots” and has a Practice Focus Designation in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She is Clinical Director of the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic at the Center for Women’s Health at OHSU.
Dr. Baldwin provides Ob/Gyn care at the Center for Women’s Health, with a focus on family planning, including adolescent gynecology and early pregnancy management.
Dr. Baldwin’s research has focused on clinical diagnosis and management of very early abnormal pregnancy, translational approaches for early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy, safety of very early abortion, postpartum contraception, and treatment outcomes of menstrual management. She has expertise in clinical trials, implementation research, and systematic review. Her current NIH-funded work in collaboration with a University of Washington researcher will compare bleeding outcomes with use of progestins for management of heavy menstrual bleeding in those with and without bleeding disorders.
